Right now, you're probably thinking the same thing I was when I first read this but no, this is not from the onion. This is an actual headline on the front page of one of our country's most widely distributed newspapers. Really.........I mean......REALLY?

What a touching story.  I really admire a family that sticks together.

"Boston Police blows up traffic counter chained to lightpost" [from foxnews]

The irony is that the New England taxpayers fund the DOT which buys the traffic counters that the police blow up because they think it's a bomb threat. 

"Also, less than a month ago bomb squads in Boston were also dismantling giant lite-brites that were part of a cartoon marketing campaign. If I was a terrorist, after this month, I would focus on Boston. Apparently, they think the next terrorist attack will consist of brightly lit, unobscure traffic counters or children's toys."

Without baseball this city would kill themselves.
